Beneath The Noise

a place to find some of my latest projects

Pink Persimmon July 23, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 6:28 pm

This past week another one of my projects was uploaded on the Pink Persimmon Stamps blog.  I love the color palette, the photo and the accents although looking now I could have made the photo a bit bigger.

But never the less here is another layout showing how you can create fun one-of-a-kind accents using rubber stamps on your layouts.

I used Helmar Black  Zap Dots to give the garland dimension in the fold.

On A Mission July 15, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 3:02 am

I know you’re all out there.  You know who you are!  You are a scrapbooker that uses stamps on your layouts.  Oh so often I see all kinds of articles and emphasis on stamping and card making.

I’m on a mission.  I’m on a mission to show you…someone…anyone…that you can use stamps in your layouts.

Because you know you have a growing stash of stamps….how could you not!  There are some really CUTE stamps out there!

I’m excited to be able to officially show you my first project for Pink Persimmon Stamps.  I’ve had this and two other projects done for this month since last month. But because we want to show you the fabulousness first on the Pink Persimmon blog we wait….

And now, the wait is over.  For one project anyway.

Stamps sets I used include:

Carnival Alpha set small

Flower Greetings

Oh Dear outline and silhouette

October Afternoon papers, Cosmo Cricket stickers and chipboard and Jenni Bowlin inks.

Do you stamp and are a scrapper?  Leave a comment I’d love to see your work!

Thanks for stopping by!  Now get scrapping…and use your stamps!

Pencil Lines Sketch #243 June 20, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 3:17 pm

What a great weekend celebrating Father’s Day we had here!  Everything from games to ice cream made for a fun and memorable time!

Things are a bit slow to share on the scrappy front.  Loving the summer break – lounging pool side relaxing are taking up a lot of my time :-)

Here is a new sketch creation I did for Pencil Lines Sketch Blog  I used all older Lily Bee Design papers here since I love it so much!

This would happen to be one of my most favorite stamp sets from Unity Stamp Co.  Seriously I use this set a lot!  It’s called Sunny Happy Skies.

I had fun creating the pin wheel.  I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to hold down the flaps and Liquid Scrap Dots to hold the button and stick pins in place.  This bad boy isn’t going anywhere!

This stamp set is brand new and just released today from Pink Persimmon Stamps.

A little birdie told me that there are more Vintage Girl stamp releases to come in the future!  How fun is that!

Something New And Fun! June 1, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 2:07 pm

I love new and fun! And I’m super excited to be a part of a new and fun creative team!  I’ve been chosen to be a part of the Pink Persimmon Stamps team which is such a thrill for me because I’m a scrapper who loves to use stamps in my projects!  I hope to be able to show that using stamps on your layouts if fun and easy (easy is another thing I love).  So make sure you check out their super cute, vintage style stamps!

In fact here is a layout I did just this week

I used the Small Banner Set to create the banner and just for fun and versatility I used the same set to create the flags :-)   I also used the Large Banner Set to create the rosette.

Pencil Lines Sketch #239 May 23, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 2:39 pm

Scrapping has been a bit on the slow side lately.  My printer has run out of ink and I need to get to the office supply store and pick some up.

But in the meantime here is the latest sketch from Pencil Lines and my take on it.

Lots of stamping and a mixture of older patterned paper from Studio Calico, Crate and 7 G’s.  Love using up my stash!

Pencil Lines Sketch #237 May 9, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 2:31 pm

Ever had a layout that started off in your mind in one direction and then took a totally different direction about mid way thru?  That would be this one!  But I love how it turned out!

This is the most recent sketch for Pencil Lines Sketch blog.

And here’s my take on it.

I love the bright, yet vintage feel and colors on this layout.

Patterned papers – Crate, OA and MME

Letters -  Jenni Bowlin and OA

Stamps -  Unity

Mists – Tattered Angels, Studio Calico

Adhesives – Helmar
