Two, two, too cute! July 13, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 3:04 am

I love, love, l-o-v-e October Afternoon.  There products are to die for and the color combinations are brilliant!  Who knew that pink, grey, red and green could look so amazing together.  Well maybe some people already did-but I didn’t and I”m loving it!  And they’re just the right combination of vintage and fun!

Here’s a layout I did using the Cherry Hill line.  When I bought the papers I bought two sets because I loved it so much and I’m so super glad I did!

See these kids?  Two of them are mine, two of them are a friends.  It’s not that often that you are blessed to have great friends with great kids.  It’s extra gravy bonus when they’re the same ages and they’re all girls!

Thanks for looking!

Nikki Sivils project July 8, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 10:56 pm

So yeah, I know, my post titles leave much to be desired but heck why make it all flowery and have people wonder what I’m talking about?

If you haven’t heard about Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker let me tell you about her.  She is a brand spanking new manufacturer that is debuting at CHA Summer 2009.  Her products are fresh, cute and fun and she’s got the whole thing going on!  From papers to stamps and brads and these super cute inventive products callled bread{less} tags.  Which you can do a gazillion different things with – paint them, use rubons, stamp, alcohol inks – I’m still discovering all the possibilities.

And her husband is fun too!  He came up with these clever catch phrases on the back of the product packaging that I totally get!  I literally couldn’t stop laughing reading them all.

Here is a mini book I did using the Victoria’s Street line.  It really conveyed the mood that I wanted to express through this album – meaningful yet fun.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

My last layout for Memory Makers magazine June 8, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — laurascrap @ 3:46 am

In the scrapbook world it is common knowledge that Memory Makers magazine is ceasing publication as of the September/October 2009 issue.  This layout was featured in their July/August 2009 issue.  I have had such a love for Memory Makers ever since they were located north of Denver some years back.  I will miss them as a publication and miss the opportunity to hopefully be published by them again in the future.

Two for two May 13, 2009

Yes, it’s true I’m posting again for the second day in a row.  I told you I needed to play catch up.

This layout I did for Dream Street and features the Fresh line.  I adore the colors and just how darn gorgeous these papers are!

These pictures were taken when we went to the Bale Grist Mill outside of Calistoga in the Napa Valley over spring break.  Such a cool piece of history tucked away in a gorgeous area.
